Private Events

At the Cookery School we delight in running private cooking parties for all social occasions. For your private party we can organise a cookery demonstration or a hands on practical experience. We cater for all private celebrations ranging from special birthday parties to confirmations and communions to anniversary celebrations and hen parties resulting in a fun and memorable occasion. Choose from regulars such as “Easy Entertaining” and “Taste of Provence” to our signature course “Southern Italian” or our TV specials including “Taste of Tuscany” and “One Pot Wonders”.

If you want to extend your stay, Ballyknocken offers accommodation with 10 bedrooms, all equipped to 4**** standard and reflect the Victorian style of the premises. Each room is beautifully appointed some with splendid 1800’s roll top baths. Ballyknocken House is listed in the Bridgestone 100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland 2009 and in Georgina Campbell’s Ireland’s Best Places to Eat, Drink and Stay.

Friends and Family enjoy coming together over food and our comprehensive range of party packages and tailor made services offer a unique and fun way to celebrate any special occasion.

So if you are celebrating a big “O” or having a family reunion the kitchen is the perfect place for groups of all ages and backgrounds to come together and mingle, breaking-down the barriers between friends and family.

Hen Party

Hen Party Packages are also available at Ballyknocken, so if you are looking for an alternative hen party idea, suitable for all ages why not choose from one of the Bridal Party Packages.

Book Club

Visit with your Book Club and review a Cookery Book before getting your aprons on. We can cater for all social club gatherings where you can choose from our selection of packages.

Pre booking is essential. For larger groups additional accommodation is available at local B&Bs and nearby hotels.
